Concord Patch Also Covering Clayton

Starting this week, Concord Patch will also include coverage of Clayton.

We are merging the sites as part of our efforts to strengthen our coverage of both communities.

As our readers and advertisers already know, the cities of Concord and Clayton, as well as Walnut Creek, share numerous regional and business interests, and it makes sense to combine the two sites.

So often we've found that news in one town is of interest to residents of the other, so it seems easier to have it in one place — on Concord Patch.

We'll still offer the same robust coverage of everything happening in both towns. We aren’t reducing our focus on either town. This is meant to help us better coordinate coverage of the things that matter to residents of both communities.

We know , who grew up in Walnut Creek and lives in Concord, will do a great job handling this transition.

Adalto, who received his bachelor's in journalism with a minor in photography from California State University, Sacramento, was a Sacramento area freelancer for three years before taking over Concord Patch last July.
