Concord Pedestrian May Have Been Hit Twice
One, possibly two, hit-and-run drivers are sought by Concord Police: one drove a white Ford Explorer, the other a black Cadillac sedan.
CONCORD - Possibly two different vehicles struck a pedestrian and both fled the scene early Sunday morning in Concord, according to police.
Concord police officers were dispatched at 12:19 a.m. Sunday to a reported collision on Monument Boulevard near Lacey Lane, police said.
A 50-year-old man was walking across Monument Boulevard when a white Ford Explorer struck him. The driver fled the scene in the vehicle.

Police said it’s possible that a second vehicle, described as a black Cadillac sedan, then hit the man. That driver and vehicle also fled.
The man was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries and was reported to be in stable condition, police said.

Both motorists involved would have sustained damaged to their vehicles’ front ends, according to police.
Concord police are investigating the hit-and-run collision.
