Concord Shooting Victim Hits Pedestrian While Driving to Hospital
A 64-year-old Concord man was arrested for the shooting, and several firearms were recovered from his home.

CONCORD, CA -- A man who was shot during an altercation with another man over the weekend accidentally struck a pedestrian with his car as he was driving to the hospital, police said Jan. 29.
Around 3 pm yesterday, Concord police officers responded to Lani Kai Drive for the report of a physical fight between two men. Additional phone calls from witnesses indicated that a shooting occurred at the same location.
Officers arriving on scene learned that a man who had been involved in the fight had also been shot. He began driving himself to a local hospital for medical treatment, when he accidentally struck a woman walking in the area.

The woman was transported to a local hospital where she was treated for minor injuries and released.
The man who had been shot was treated for his injuries once he arrived at the hospital. He is listed in serious, but stable condition. A 64-year-old man, who is a Concord resident, was arrested for the shooting. Several firearms were recovered at his home and can be seen in the above photo.
