Update: Firefighters Extinguish Grass Fire Between Clayton and Pittsburg
Firefighters extinguished the 1-acre fire in about 30 minutes.

Firefighters extinguished a 1-acre grass fire along Kirker Pass Road between Clayton and Pittsburg Monday afternoon, according to Contra Costa Fire Protection District Battalion Chief Bill Walker.
The fire was first reported at 10:32 a.m. and was extinguished around 11 a.m. Firefighters from Clayton, Pittsbugh, Antioch and Bay Point responded to fight the one-alarm fire.
Traffic on Kirker Pass Road was temporarily closed due to the blaze, but both northbound lanes were opened by noon.
