Has the Mount Diablo Fire Changed Your Mind About A Con Fire Parcel Tax?

Back in November, voters in Contra Costa County rejected a temporaryΒ parcel tax for the Contra Costa Fire Protection District. Β Measure QΒ would have collected $75 from owners of single family homes. The final vote on Measure Q was 47 percent against and 53 percent in favor. The measure needed two-thirds support to pass.Β 

The spectacle of Mount Diablo in flames has prompted more than a few I-Told-You-Sos from supporters of the tax here on Patch. Were you one of the 101,454 people who voted against Measure Q in November? Have you changed your mind?Β
