Highway 160 Brush Fire Extinguished
A vegetation fire in Antioch prompted authorities to close the roadway Tuesday afternoon.
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA — All lanes of southbound state Highway 160 in Antioch have reopened this afternoon after a vegetation fire caused the closure of the highway, authorities said. The fire was reported at 1:07 p.m. in the area of Highway 160 between Wilbur Avenue in Antioch and Main Street/state Highway 4 in Oakley, according to the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District.
The fire was out as of 1:45 p.m. with no injuries reported, California Highway Patrol officials said.
