Major-Injury Crash in Concord Closed Freeway Off-Ramp
One person was seriously injured in 2:10 a.m. crash.

The state Highway 4 off-ramp onto southbound state Highway 242 inΒ Concord reopened this morning after it was closed for more than an hour afterΒ a major-injury crash, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A Sig-alert was issued for the multi-vehicle crash, which closedΒ the off-ramp. The crash was reported at 2:10 a.m. The alert was issued atΒ 2:43 a.m. and canceled at 3:37 a.m., according to the CHP.

The crash initially involved only one vehicle, but then a secondΒ vehicle hit that car and spun out and came to a rest which led to a thirdΒ vehicle getting involved in the crash, a CHP officer said.
One person somehow ended up in the road with major injuries,Β according to the officer.
