Person Killed In Shooting In Contra Costa County: Authorities
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
BAY POINT, CA — A person was killed in a weekend overnight shooting in Bay Point, authorities said.
Deputy sheriffs responded around 1 a.m. Saturday to a call of shots fired on Harbor Drive and arrived to find a person suffering from gunshot wounds in front of a home, according to the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, police said, adding homicide detectives and crime lab personnel were part of the response.
