See the Rim Fire from the Air

The Rim Fire, already the 15th largest in the state's history, is burning more than 200 square miles of brush, pine and oak in Tuolumne County. On Saturday morning, some 2,600 firefighters had the blaze only 5 percent contained. Because of the rough terrain, crews have fought the fire mostly from the air. 

This video shows a C-130 Hercules belonging to the 146th Airlift Wing of the California Air National Guard dumping fire retardant on the inferno's leading edge.
