So...Why Is the Slide Closed?

As I'm sure parents with small kids have noticed, the slide at The Grove park has been out of commission for nearly a month.

Why? Well, because of bad kids, of course.

Some youths far too old to be playing on playgrounds jumped up and down on the slide and cracked it, according to City Manager Gary Naper.

The good news? A new slide has arrived and should be installed within the next couple weeks. Clayton's children will be to free slide once more.

Note: Naper says this is the second time the slide has had to be replaced because of improper use.
