Suspect Wanted In Fatal Shooting Is Armed, Dangerous: Pittsburg Police
Nine people— many affiliated with an East Contra Costa gang, police said — were arrested Monday in an investigation into the fatal shooting.

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA — Pittsburg resident Amen Syrius Allen, 19, is wanted in connection with a fatal shooting in July in Pittsburg, police said Tuesday. Allen should be considered armed and dangerous; the Pittsburg Police Department said anyone who sees him should contact local law enforcement.
Several males shot into a moving car July 14 in the 2100 block of Crestview Drive in Pittsburg, killing one man and seriously injuring another, police said.
Investigators have worked tirelessly since the incident to obtain evidence and have identified numerous people involved in this incident.

Starting at 5 a.m. Monday, the Pittsburg Police Department, with the help of additional law enforcement agencies, conducted a large-scale operation that involved serving numerous search warrants throughout Contra Costa County in connection with the fatal shooting.
A total of 10 warrants were served Monday in the cities of Pittsburg, Antioch, Oakley and Pleasant Hill. As a result of the warrants, nine people were arrested on suspicion of various crimes, including homicide, gun-related violations and drug-related offenses.

"Many of those arrested are believed to be directly involved or associates of an East Contra Costa County gang involved in criminal activity," Pittsburg police said. "Beyond what these suspects were arrested for, there are several ongoing investigations in which one or more of these individuals may have been involved."
More information is expected to be released shortly in the investigation that was still very active and ongoing Tuesday, Pittsburg police said.
