Hate-Speech Vandalism At Culver City School Lands 2 Boys In Cuffs: Police

Two boys were arrested after vandalizing a Culver City school with hate speech graffiti, police said.

CULVER CITY, CA — Two boys were arrested this week after vandalizing a Culver City elementary school with hate-speech graffiti, according to the Culver City Police Department.

Officers responded to a report of vandalism at El Marino Language School Thursday at 6:50 a.m., where they found a broken classroom window and graffiti in several areas of the campus, police said.

The graffiti "included hate speech," police said.

Police identified two Los Angeles boys as suspects. On Monday, both boys were arrested and released to their parents, police said.

Neither boy is a student in the Culver City Unified School District, police said.

"Culver City police will continue to collaborate closely with the Culver City Unified School District to support our school community and ensure the safety and well-being of our school campuses," the department said in a release. "Additional patrols of the area are being conducted for added peace of mind."
