Officers report the driver was already under post-release supervision for a prior robbery conviction when the vehicle was pulled over for dangerous driving.

Robert Nakamura, ‘Godfather' of Asian American Film, Dies at 88 (nytimes.com) — Culver City is mourning filmmaker and educator Robert Nakamura, who died at 88 at his home here in June from complications of Parkinson’s disease. Widely regarded as the “godfather” of Asian American media, he transformed his childhood incarceration at Manzanar into groundbreaking films, activism, and decades of teaching at UCLA that reshaped how Japanese American stories are told.
