3 Drivers Wanted In Fatal La Brea Ave. Collision That Killed Pedestrian
At least three motorists struck the 61-year-old pedestrian, leaving the man dead, police said.
LOS ANGELES, CA — Police sought the public's assistance Monday in locating at least three motorists who struck a 61-year-old pedestrian near the Baldwin Hills area of Los Angeles, leaving the man dead.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the man was crossing La Brea Avenue toward the east at Roseland Street in an unmarked crosswalk around 9 p.m. Sunday when he was struck by a northbound vehicle. The man was subsequently struck by at least two additional northbound vehicles, police said.
None of the drivers who struck the pedestrian stopped.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics pronounced the man dead while he was being taken to a hospital. His name was withheld pending notification of relatives.
"Motorists are reminded that if they become involved in a collision, they should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe to do so, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify themselves," police said in a statement.

A reward of up to $50,000 is being offered for information that leads to the identities, arrests, and convictions of the suspects.
