Segments of Ballona Bike Path Closed Tuesday and Wednesday

We want to advise you that on Tuesday, October 11th and Wednesday, October 12th, segments of the Ballona Creek Bike Path will be closed to perform additional tree/shrubbery trimming and paving repairs.  The City’s contractor, West Coast Arborist (WCA), will continuing trimming the overgrowth extending into the pathway along segments of the path and a Public Works Department (PWD) crew will be repairing pavement during the following times:

Tuesday, Oct. 11th·   7:00 AM to 11:00 AM - the segment of the bike path between Sawtelle and Sepulveda Blvds. will be closed in order to perform additional tree/shrubbery trimming.  At approx. 11 AM, the path will be re-opened and the crew will move to the bike path entrance at Duquesne Ave.·   11:00 AM to 3:30 PM  - the entrance (only) to the bike path at Duquesne Ave. will be closed in order to perform additional shrubbery trimming on the Duquesne ramp.

Wednesday, Oct. 12th The segment of the bike path between Overland Ave. and National Bl. will be closed between 7:00 AM and 3:30 PM, in order to complete the remainder of the tree/shrubbery trimming on the Duquesne Ave. ramp and east of the Duquesne Ave. bridge.  Also, the PWD concrete crew will be doing pavement repairs on the bike path east of Duquesne. The bike path between Overland Ave. and Duquesne Ave. may be reopened earlier if the work is completed ahead of schedule.

 Last week, signage was posted at the Sepulveda, Overland, Duquesne, and National entrances, stating the limits and hours of the closure.
