Armed ATM Robbery Suspects Arrested In Culver City: Police
Two men accused of using a semi-automatic rifle in a robbery outside a Culver City ATM have been arrested, police said.
CULVER CITY, CA — Two people suspected of robbing a person at a Culver City ATM using a semi-automatic rifle have been arrested, according to the Culver City Police Department.
The incident occurred at around 1:10 a.m. June 20 at an ATM near Sepulveda Boulevard and Playa Street. After the victim withdrew cash and was walking back to his vehicle, two men ran up to him, according to police.

One of the suspects pointed a black semi-automatic rifle at the victim and said "Give me the money. Give me the cash," according to police.

Fearing for his safety, the victim threw the money ($120) on the ground in front of the two suspects.
The first suspect then demanded more money and the man's phone. When the man did not produce the items, the first suspect told the man "let's get in your car and go somewhere else." The man did not comply and both suspects fled the area, police said.

Joe Saldivar-Salazar, 22, of Los Angeles was arrested on July 3 in connection with the robbery, police said Tuesday.
Two days later, Alexander Mejia, 21, of Los Angeles, was arrested in connection with the incident, according to police.
Both suspects were booked at the Culver City Police Department Jail. Saldivar-Salazar was released on bail. Mejia remains in custody on $100,000 bail, police said.
