Backpacks Donated To Stoner Avenue Elementary In Culver City

Girls Inc. of Los Angeles and bag company Solo donate over 300 backpacks to Stoner Avenue Elementary.

CULVER CITY, CA — Stoner Elementary School students in Culver City will start the school year off prepared, as more than 300 backpacks were donated but Girls Inc. of Los Angeles and Solo.

With a goal to "inspire all girls to be strong, smart and bold this school year," the two entities gave each student a new Solo backpack for National Back to School Month.

Solo, the leading brand of day and travel bags, collaborated with Girls Inc. to support its mission of empowering girls to amplify their talents and transcend barriers to become leaders.

Students and staff were all smiles at the Aug. 16 donation, according to spokesperson Jason Russo.

"The event was very successful... it was an exciting day for the students," Russo said.
