Culver City Bakery Launches Bread Truck, Plans Pizza Joint Next Door
The truck sells freshly baked goods at farmers markets.

CULVER CITY, CA — Los Angeles used to have a fleet of bakery trucks delivering freshly made bread to homes and two bakers in Culver City is bring some of that nostalgia back, the Los Angeles Times reported.
Or Amsalam and Alexander Phaneuf of Lodge Bread, 11918 Washington Blvd., don't plan on making deliveries any time soon, they are, however, setting up shop at local farmers markets.
“Who wants whole loaves in their neighborhood: We’ll go there,” Phaneuf told the Times. “We’re permitted to be anywhere in L.A.”

The pair are also planning to expand their bakery to include a pizza joint next door. They have taken over an office space next door to accommodate a wood-burning pizza oven and a 20-plus seat patio. The hope to open by early next year.
