Culver City Firefighters Knock Down Palms Building Fire

Culver City firefighters knocked down a fire at a building in Palms late Sunday.

CULVER CITY, CA — Firefighters knocked down a small structure fire in the Palms area of Los Angeles early Monday.

The fire, in the 8900 block of Venice Boulevard, was reported to the Culver City Fire Department just before 11 p.m. Sunday.

The building had smoke showing when firefighters arrived on scene.

The Los Angeles Fire Department was initially dispatched but later called off.

Around 11:15 p.m., firefighters were targeting the roof area as they attacked the fire, a Culver City fire dispatcher said.

Firefighters had the scene all mopped up by 11:22 p.m., the dispatcher said.

The extent of the damage as well as the cause of the fire were both under investigation.
