Culver City High School Breaks Ground on New Athletic Complex
Culver City Unified School District and Balfour Beatty Construction broke ground on the ambitious project Wednesday afternoon at Helms Field.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the new Culver City High School athletic complex took place Wednesday afternoon at Helms Field.
The groundbreaking was the first in a series of projects designed to upgrade CCUSD’s athletic facilities at the school.
The project – in conjunction with Balfour Beatty Construction – will include:

- Demolition and Grading
- Removal of Existing Concession Building
- New Synthetic Track
- New Synthetic Turf Field
- Scoreboard
- New Field Equipment
- New ADA Access to Field
- Landscaping Along Harter/St. Nicolas
- Miscellaneous Landscaping Repairs Throughout
The project is expected to be completed by Sept. 1, 2013.
