Culver City Police Blotter: Burglaries, Vandalism and Robberies

One victim reported he was robbed at his place of business around 3:30 a.m. after a suspect punched him and demanded all the money from the cash drawer.

Here's a recap of crimes that occurred between April 18 and April 22, as reported to the Culver City Police Department.

Burglary

On April 18 at 1 p.m. a woman called to report her company’s office was broken into and their property missing. She said the office located in the 9300 block of Washington Blvd. was secured on April 18 at 12:30 p.m. On April 18 at 9 a.m. another employee arrived at work and discovered their property missing.

Grand Theft

On April 19 at 10:30 a.m. a victim called the police department to report that an unknown suspect had stolen currency from her purse. The victim said she arrived at work in the 6100 block of Bristol Pkwy. on April 16 at 12:30 p.m. and left her property in her office and went to an appointment. When she returned at 3:30 p.m. she discovered her property missing.

Commercial Robbery

On April 19 at 3:25 a.m. officers responded to the 5900 block of La Cienega Blvd. regarding a robbery investigation. The officers met with the victim who said he was approached by the suspect who punched him in the shoulder and ordered him to open the cash drawer. Fearing for his safety the victim gave him the property. The suspect then fled the location.

Vandalism

On April 19 at 4:35 p.m. officers responded to the 9700 block of Culver Blvd. regarding a vandalism investigation. The officers met with the reporting party who told them he was making a delivery when he noticed the front door window had been smashed out. The officers also contacted the owner of the location.

Residential Burglary

On April 20 at 2:53 p.m. officers responded to the 4000 block of Wade St. regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them he and his roommate left the location at 9:30 p.m. When they returned at 11:30 p.m. the victim noticed his property missing. He checked with his roommate and discovered her property was also missing.
