Culver City Police Blotter: Late Night Assault

Here's a recap of crimes that occurred between Feb. 24 and March 4 as reported to the Culver City Police Department.

Vandalism

On Feb.26 at 9:50 a.m. a victim came to the police department to report his apartment building had graffiti on the walls. The reporting party said the building was located in the 10400 block of Culver Blvd. The reporting party said there was no graffiti on the wall on Feb. 25 at 10 p.m. When he returned the next morning at 7 a.m. he discovered the vandalism.

Assault

On Feb. 28 at 11 p.m. a victim came to the police department to report he was assaulted. The victim said he walking in the area of Venice Boulevard and Prospect Avenue when he was approached by the suspect. The suspect was angry and struck the victim several times and fled the area.

Car Burglary

On March 1 at 3:10 a.m. officers responded to the area of 11700 block of Washington Blvd. regarding a car burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them he was asleep when he heard a loud noise and looked out of his window and saw two suspects by his 2008 Ford van. He yelled at the suspects who fled the area. The victim checked his vehicle and discovered his property missing.

Residential Burglary

On March 1 at 4 p.m. officers responded to the 12200 block of Herbert Way regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them  she and her caregiver left her residence locked and secured at 10:30 a.m. When they returned at 3:30 p.m. they discovered a bathroom window open and her property missing.

Stolen Car

On March 1 at 5:30 p.m. officers responded to the 11200 block of Orville St. regarding a stolen vehicle investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them she parked and locked her 2005 Buick at 2 p.m. When she looked out her window at 5 p.m. she discovered her car was missing.
