CULVER CITY, CA — The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) cited a Culver City production company after two employees were injured.
Garden Films Productions LLC was cited for "failing to protect employees from hazards while filming a movie" in Georgia, the OSHA press release said. The proposed penalties total $9,472.
One employee was hospitalized due to their injuries, and another had minor injuries while filming a simulated motorcycle explosion. OSHA inspected the location in Norcross, Georgia, and cited Garden Films Productions for "failing to require that employees use proper personal protective equipment," the press release said.

“People on this worksite suffered injuries because the employer failed to implement proper safety practices,” said OSHA Atlanta-East Area Director William Fulcher.
The company has 15 business days from when the citations and penalties were issued to comply, request an informal conference with OSHA’s area director, or contest the findings before the independent Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission.
