Dinah’s Restaurant Is Closing After 65 Years — But Will Reopen Under A New Name
The landmark restaurant is getting a new name and location, but its signature signs will be coming along for the move.

CULVER CITY, CA — For over six decades, Dinah’s Family Restaurant has been a landmark at Sepulveda Boulevard and Centinela Avenue. And now it's trading its old digs for a new location — along with a new name.
The restaurant known for its fried chicken will shut down on April 30. It will reopen on May 6 in a new location two miles north, in the Culver Crossroads at Washington and Sepulveda boulevards, the restaurant announced Tuesday.
"This new space provides us with the ability to continue the Dinah’s legacy alongside room for new innovations and flare that we can’t wait to share with you all," the restaurant wrote in a social media post.

It will also get a new name: Dinah’s Kitchen. While the change will mark a new chapter for the restaurant, Dinah's says it's taking the well-known signs — including one shaped like a chicken bucket — to the new location.
Dinah's first opened in 1959 and has been used as a setting for films including "Little Miss Sunshine," "The Big Lebowski," and "Nightcrawler."
