Drone Helps Culver City Police Find Hidden Car Burglary Suspect

A drone helped police locate a car burglary suspect who hid after the crime, according to the Culver City Police Department.

CULVER CITY, CA — Police used a drone to quickly find a person suspected of breaking into a vehicle in Culver City, the Culver City Police Department said Sunday.

Officers responded to a caller who reported the sound of glass breaking on the 5500 block of Kinston Avenue at around 2:40 a.m. Thursday.

Officers established a perimeter and confirmed that a vehicle had been broken into. They deployed a drone, which found one of the suspects hiding under a car near Overland Avenue and Clarmon Place, police said.

Police did not locate the second suspect.
