Elijah Enjoys Fun Times with Family

In the summer, the Culver City Friends of the YMCA gave young Elijah Herman a garden at his home—providing a safe haven for playtime as he receives treatment for leukemia. Since then, he has had some milestones that he wished to share with Patch.

For Culver City resident , every fun time is important, every moment a milestone—he has leukemia, diagnosed in just December of last year.

To document his journey, his mother has thick photo albums of his times in the hospital, times with his kid sister and his superhero dress-up time. Since his story on Culver City Patch received such a warm welcome, Culver City editor Winter Johnson thought it would be good to check in with Elijah.
