Equine Therapy for Children in Culver City

Vista Del Mar's Child and Family Therapy center has begun equine therapy in Culver City.
 
The horses come from  Dream Catcher LA, which specializes in therapeutic riding and other equine assisted activities that benefit the bodies, mind and spirits of children with disabilities.

Dream Catcher LA works to improve the lives of children, adults, and veterans with cognitive, physical, and emotional disabilities through the benefits of therapeutic horseback riding and other equine-assisted activities, while serving the therapeutic riding profession through training and education.

"Through the development of a riding plan specific to each child’s needs, we can generate individualized goals and objectives,” said Vista Del Mar's Joan Black of the new equine therapy program. 

Vista Del Mar offers comprehensive, family-centered social, educational and behavioral health services that encourage children, adolescents and their families to lead self reliant, stable and productive lives.
