Farragut Elementary’s booster club – the Farragut Fan Club – is holding a very grown up event to raise money for its kids at Royal/T on Sat. April 21 from 7-11 p.m.
Monies raised will go towards Artworks 2012! the school’s arts and music education programs, specifically the school’s part-time Artist in Residence to teach bi-weekly art classes, as well as music education in partnership with organizations including Do-Re-Mi, the Symphonic Jazz Orchestra, the L.A. Opera and the Music Center.

At the Royal/T event, attendees will dine on signature Royal/T appetizers, sip on fancy cocktails and enjoy a whole host of sinful desserts. Throughout the evening there will be both a live and silent auction as well as ongoing art happenings.
“We are pleased to once again have the sponsorship support of Royal/T and to help us raise needed funds for visual and performing arts education at Farragut,” Artworks 2012 Chairperson Christine Johnson stated in a press release.

This Gala Fundraiser will be the culmination of the Artworks fundraising events. This Sat. April 14, the school will hold its Community Arts Day on campus, where more than 550 pieces of student artwork will be showcased.
The free event is open to the entire community and includes free activities for both kids and adults, offering everything from flower arranging workshops, improv classes, dance and fine art classes to a presentation about Culver City’s film history.
Bidding for the silent auction begins online at www.biddingforgood.com/artworksforfarragut on Sun. April 15 and will run through April 25. Bidding items include certificates for restaurants, movies, sporting and theatrical events, professional services, summer camps, travel packages, electronics, hotels, professional artists' works and other high-end items.
