Gaming Festival Leaves Culver City for USC
The increasing development in the city is forcing IndieCade to move to another venue.

CULVER CITY, CA — IndieCade, one of the gaming industry's most respected festivals, is leaving Culver City for USC, the Los Angeles Times reported.
The gaming festival was forced to move to the home of the nation's most highly regarded video game design program because of increasing development in Culver City, organizers told the Times. The festival will now be held at USC's School of Cinematic Arts from Oct. 13 to 16.
“IndieCade is vitally important to the vibrant Los Angeles game development scene for the community that it provides — not just for developers in L.A., but for the people from all around the world who come to our wonderful city for the festival each fall,” said Richard Lemarchand, a game designer and associate professor at USC told the Times.
