JCPenney Denies Kettle Image Looks Like Hitler

JCPenney issues a tweet and a great photo, explaining why the tea kettle's resemblance to Hitler was completely unintentional.

The brouhaha surrounding the JCPenney billboard on the 405 freeway near Culver City that has people seeing Adolf Hitler in a tea kettle, refuses to die down.

So much so, that JCPenney has now been forced to issue a statement denying the resemblance, reports Business Insider.

Many news organizations not just locally, but around the world picked up on the story and JCPenney sent a tweet to The Telegraph newspaper in England, following the publication of its story on the kettle.

The tweet to the Telegraph stated: "Certainly unintended. If we'd designed the kettle to look like something, we would've gone w/a snowman," offering up the above picture as evidence.
