Lion Fountain Will Spout Again... in About Two-Three Weeks
Culver City's Public Works department is currently awaiting a new electronic sensor before the lion fountain will be operational again.

Concerned readers have been contacting Patch wondering why the Lion fountain on the plaza in downtown Culver City has suddenly lost its roar – aka – pour.
The City’s Public Works Maintenance Operations Manager Steven Orozco told Patch that unfortunately the lion’s electronic sensor that allows the fountain to flourish, stopped working a couple of weeks ago.
Orozco said the City has ordered a new sensor from the distributor but it seems to be taking a while for the part to arrive. “We expect to have in about two to three weeks,” Orozco said.

In the meantime, if you see the fountain working, it will only be temporarily, Orozco said because City officials will go in and turn on the fountain manually from time to time to keep things moving.
However, the manual override process is a complicated one so don’t expect to see the fountain operational every day, but, said Orozco, “getting the fountain fixed is definitely a priority for us.”
