Male Homicide Victim Identified

Lucien Bergez, 89, is identified as one of two victims discovered Tuesday at a Huron Avenue home in Culver City.

One of two Culver City homicide victims was identified Wednesday morning as 89-year-old Lucien Bergez, according to Assistant Chief Ed Winter of the L.A. County coroner's office. The identity of the female victim found with Bergez has not been released as her family has not yet been notified. 

The victims were found inside a home in Culver City on Tuesday in what police said were homicides. Police were called to the home in the 4000 block of Huron Avenue, near Washington Boulevard, about 10 a.m. after the bodies were discovered inside the home, said Lt. Milton McKinnon of the Culver City Police Department.

McKinnon said he did not know how the two were related or how they died, and front desk officer Darrin Takade said in a phone interview with Patch that a motive for the homicides is not yet known.

Investigators are following up on several leads, McKinnon said.
