Man Arrested in Residential Shooting
Rodney Wilson was arrested early this morning after allegedly shooting a firearm in an apartment building on Venice Boulevard.

A man identified as Rodney Wilson, 43, was tear-gassed out of hiding early this morning by police after allegedly firing several shots inside a Culver City apartment building early this morning, according to wire reports.
Wilson was visiting family at 10890 Venice Blvd., when he was reported at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday for setting off a firearm, Culver City Police Department Sgt. Leon Lopez confirmed to City News Service.
Witnesses told police that Wilson had been drinking. When they arrived on the scene they heard several additional gunshots, according to wire reports.

After Wilson refused to leave the building, a sheriff's department special weapons and tactics team was called in at 10:30 p.m., and a SWAT team used tear gas to flush Wilson out about 12:15 a.m. on Tuesday morning. No injuries were reported.
Wilson was arrested and is being held on a warrant on a suspicion of being a parolee with a firearm, according to Culver City Police.
