Photos: Ballona Creek Cleanup Day

Although it's supposed to be winter, it was a gloriously sunny and hot summer-style day on Saturday, ensuring perfect weather for the Ballona Creek Renaissance's Creek Cleanup Day.

Over 100 volunteers including the soccer teams and coach and groups from Marina del Rey Middle School and Brentwood School took part in  the cleanup efforts, which were made possible by a permit from the County of Los Angeles and the logistical support of the City of Los Angeles as well as support from the Del Rey Neighborhood Council, the Los Angeles Conservation Corps, and the soccer teams of Culver City High School.
