Police Blotter: A Missing Honda and Pushed Without Cause

This week's crime roundup features a case of auto theft and a man who was knocked to the ground.

Keep on reading for a recap of crimes, as reported to the Culver City Police Department:

A missing Honda

On Aug. 16 at 8:20 p.m., a victim called the police department to report his 1993 Honda had been stolen. The victim said he parked and locked his vehicle in the 3400 block of Helms Avenue on Aug. 15 at 12 p.m. He returned the next day at 10 a.m. and saw that his vehicle was missing.

A business burglary

On Aug. 17 at 8:50 a.m., officers went to the 8000 block of Washington Boulevard regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim, who told them that had he locked and secured the business at 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 16. He said he received a call from his alarm company at 8:30 p.m. regarding an activation. His manager responded to the location and found no signs of a burglary. The victim returned the next day at 7:30 a.m. and discovered one of his company vehicles was missing.

Pushed without cause

On Aug. 17 at 12:08 p.m., officers went to the 4100 block of Wade Street regarding a battery investigation. The officers met with the victim, who told them that he was near the park when he was approached by the suspect, who asked him a question regarding his sunglasses. The suspect then used both hands and pushed the victim to the ground and fled the location.

Someone keyed my car

On Aug. 17 at 8:20 p.m., a victim came to the police department to report vandalism to her vehicle. The victim said she parked and locked her 2003 Infiniti in the 5600 block of Windsor Way on Aug. 15. When she returned on Aug. 16, she discovered that someone had keyed her vehicle.

Windows smashed, missing property

On Aug. 18 at 3:34 p.m., a victim called the police department to report his 2004 Chevrolet had been burglarized. The victim said he parked and locked his vehicle in the 13400 block of Washington Boulevard at 3:05 p.m., and when he returned at 3:20 p.m. he discovered his vehicle’s left rear window had been smashed and his property was missing.

On Aug. 20 at 11:20 p.m., a victim called the police department to report her 2006 Jeep Commander had been burglarized. The victim said she had parked and locked her vehicle in the 9300 block of Jefferson Boulevard at 6:30 p.m. When she returned at 11 p.m., she discovered her rear passenger window had been smashed out and her property was missing.
