Police Blotter: Burglaries and Grand Theft
Our weekly roundup of crimes includes car burglaries, grand theft and street robbery.

Here's a recap of crimes that occurred between Dec.6 and Dec. 11, as reported to the .
Car Burglary:
On Dec. 6 at 7:45 p.m. a victim called the police department to report her car had been burglarized. The victim said she parked and locked her 2003 Toyota in the 6000 block of Hannum Avenue at 6:30 p.m. When she returned at 7 p.m. she discovered her doors unlocked and her property missing.

Commercial Burglary:
On Dec. 7 at 6:53 a.m. officers responded to the 3900 block of National Blvd. regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the reporting party who said the business was locked and secured on Dec. 6 at 8 p.m. The next morning at 6:50 a.m. he received a call from the alarm company stating the alarm had sounded. Officers arrived and discovered the front door damaged but the suspects did not take any property.

Car Burglary:
On Dec. 12 at 12:30p.m. a victim called the police department to report her 2009 Cadillac had been burglarized. The victim said she parked and locked her car in the 6200 block of Bristol Pkwy at 12:15 p.m. When she returned at 12:25 p.m. she discovered her driver side slot was damaged and her property missing.
Street Robbery:
On Dec. 9 at 6:30 p.m. officers responded to the area of Jefferson Boulevard and Cota Street regarding a robbery investigation. The officers met with the victim who said she was walking northbound on Cota from Jefferson when she was approached by the suspect who was described as a black male in his twenties. The suspect told her to give him her bag and pointed a handgun at her. Fearing for her safety she gave him the bag. The suspect then fled to a vehicle where two other suspects were waiting.
Grand Theft:
On Dec. 10 at 11:50 a.m. a victim called the police department to report his laptop computer missing. The victim said he locked and secured his hotel room and left his computer in the room. When he returned his computer was missing. The hotel is located in the 5900 block of Green Valley Circle.
