Police Blotter: Burglaries, Vandalism and Battery
After arguing with a business owner about servicing his car, a man allegedly pushed the owner and attempted to hit him with a closed fist.

Here's a recap of crimes that occurred between Jan. 24 and Jan. 30, as reported to the Culver City Police Department.
Attempted Burglary
On Jan. 24 at 1:45 p.m. officers responded to the 10000 block of Culver Blvd. regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim who said she locked and secured her residence on Jan. 22 at 9:30 p.m. and when she returned the next day she discovered her front door had pry marks around the dead bolt. The suspect(s) never entered the residence.

Vandalism
On Jan. 25 at 8:30 a.m. a victim called the police department to report he was a victim of vandalism. He said he parked and locked his 2012 Hyundai in the 13400 block of Washington Blvd. on Jan. 22 at 2 p.m. When he returned at 2:30 p.m. he discovered damage to his vehicles front passenger side quarter panel.

Car Burglary
On Jan. 26 at 12 p.m. a victim came to the police department to report her vehicle had been burglarized. The victim said she parked and locked her 2010 Dodge in the 3800 block of Cardiff Ave. on Jan. 25. She returned to her vehicle the next day and opened her trunk to retrieve her property and discovered it was missing.
Battery
On Jan. 26 at 2:45 p.m. officers responded to the 8600 block of Washington Blvd. regarding a business dispute. The officers arrived and met with the victim who told them he had told a customer that he needed take his advice regarding the service to his car. The suspect refused and got angry and pushed the victim and attempted to hit him with a closed fist. The suspect then fled the location. The suspect was described as a male Hispanic, 5’7, and 165 lbs with short black hair.
Stolen Vehicle
On Jan. 27 at 2:30 p.m. a victim called the police department to report her 2007 BMW had been stolen. The victim said she parked and locked her vehicle in the 6000 block of Sepulveda Blvd. at 2 p.m. She returned at 2:30 p.m. and discovered her vehicle was missing.
Commercial Burglary
On Jan. 27 at 6:45 a.m. officers responded to the 10700 block of Jefferson Blvd. regarding a burglary investigation. The officers arrived and met the victim who told them he locked and secured his business at 4:15 p.m. and when he returned the next day at 6:30 a.m. discovered the front door window had been smashed out. He entered the location and saw his cash drawer had been forced open and the money missing.
