Police Blotter: Stolen Food and Two Burglaries
Perhaps the strangest suspect in our weekly roundup is someone who stole food as the victim was making a delivery.

An act of vandalism
On Feb. 16 at 6 a.m., officers went to the 5600 block of Windsor Way regarding a vandalism investigation. The officers met with the victim, who told them that he parked his Nissan in a secured parking lot at 9 p.m. and when he returned on Feb. 16 at 5:45 a.m., he discovered that his vehicle’s passenger window was broken.

My car isn't how I left it
A victim of a car burglary called the police department on Feb. 16 at 1:30 a.m. She said she parked and locked her 2008 Honda in the secured parking structure in the 5600 block of Sumner Way at 8 p.m. Her husband returned at 1:30 a.m. and discovered that her front passenger window was broken and her personal property was missing.

The robber must have been hungry
On Feb. 16 officers went to a business located in the 3900 block of Sepulveda Boulevard to meet with the victim of a street robbery that occurred in the 11300 block of Malat Way. The victim told the officers that he was delivering food items to a residence located on Malat Way when he was approached by a black male with a medium build who was wearing dark clothing.
The suspect came up behind him, and as he turned around, someone struck him, grabbed the food and fled the location.
A home burglary
Officers went to the 3800 block of Huron Avenue regarding a burglary investigation on Feb. 17 at 5:23 p.m. The officers met with the victim who told them that she locked and secured her residence at 10:30 a.m., and when she returned at 3:20 p.m. she saw that her rear door was open. She then discovered that her personal property was missing.
It appears that someone entered through the back door and left the same way.
Yet another burglary
On Feb. 19 at 7:26 a.m., officers went to the 13400 block of Washington Boulevard regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them that he locked and secured the business at 2:15 a.m. and when another employee arrived at 6 a.m., he discovered someone forced open a door and entered the location.
The suspect removed property and fled the location and has not been apprehended.
