School Board Nomination Period Begins
As of Monday, candidates for the Culver City Unified School District Board of Education election can file their intention to run with the Los Angeles County Clerk.

Though the Culver City Board of Education election isn’t until Nov. 8, the city is already buzzing with candidate announcements and campaign kickoff parties.
Board President Scott Zeidman’s term is up in November as well as that of member Steven Gourley. During recent school board meetings, Gourley has made no secret of his happiness in ending his term.
Although no candidates had officially filed with the city as of Tuesday morning, Robert Zirgulis, Laura Chardiet, recently retired teacher Nancy Goldberg and Zeidman have announced their intention to run, with campaign kickoff parties planned in the next few weeks. All candidates have until August to officially file with the city.
