Suspect Arrested In Connection With Assault With A Deadly Weapon

CULVER CITY — A community member's tip led police to arrest a 24-year-old suspect on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, according to the Culver City Police Department.

This suspect could also be connected to multiple assaults in Los Angeles, authorities said.

An assault with a deadly weapon happened at Dunkin' at 13300 Washington Blvd., near Redwood Avenue, about 5:03 a.m. Feb. 24, police said.

"After the suspect caused a disturbance in the business, a store employee asked him to leave," police said.

The suspect then pulled a knife on the employee and threatened to, "Cut him into pieces." He then left the donut shop and officers couldn't find him.

Police shared a video of the incident to try and find leads and after more than a week, detectives received several tips from the community.

The 24-year-old suspect, whose name was not immediately released, was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.

He frequents the area and is also suspected of two additional assaults with a deadly weapon in Los Angeles, police said.
