CULVER CITY, CA -- The teenage driver suspected in a hit-and-run crash that killed a 33-year-old father has been charged with vehicular manslaughter, the Culver City Police Department announced.
The crash was reported at about 11 a.m. Saturday on Washington Boulevard at La Cienega Boulevard, according to police.
Officers had tried to stop a vehicle with no license plates, but the teenaged girl behind the wheel sped through through the busy signal at La Cienega against a red light. It then smashed broadside into another sedan, killing the man and injuring his 8-year-old son. The suspect's vehicle was later found to be stolen.
