Thank You, L'Epicerie!
Editor's note: During Obama-mania on Thursday afternoon and evening, the staff at L'Epicerie allowed us to make the new cafe our headquarters.

It's a funny thing when every waiter, waitress and counter person—not to mention the owner—knows you by first name. Such is my relationship with the posse at L'Epicerie, which often doubles as an official Patch office. While the average eater may not recognize any of us (due to fatigue), we are nevertheless there, as part of the facility as their wonderful macaroons.
Now that has left the city and the dust has settled, can go back to its charming self, sans motorcade, extra cops and the like. However, we at Patch would like to give the staff and owner Thierry Perez a big thank you for letting us hijack a prime table at the cafe, making L'Epicerie our official Obama headquarters for the day. We love you guys, and your food and wine.
Hint: Try the butternut squash soup, sauteed potatoes and the seared ahi tuna salad. They are three of my favorites.
