Wheelchair-Bound Man Struck, Killed by Passing Motorist

Ronald Harrell of Los Angeles died at the scene of the collision. The driver remained at the scene and was not cited.

INGLEWOOD, CA - A 72-year-old man in a wheelchair was struck and killed by a vehicle Tuesday in Inglewood, police reported.

Ronald Harrell of Los Angeles died at the scene of the collision, which occurred about 7:55 a.m. at Century Boulevard and Flower Street, the Inglewood Police Department reported.

The victim was traveling northbound across Century Boulevard when he was struck by a vehicle that was traveling eastbound in the No. 1 lane of Century Boulevard, according to a police statement.

The motorist remained at the scene, and was not arrested or cited.
