Blackhawk Country Club Home Burglarized, Suspect At-Large
Surveillance footage shows a man throwing a rock through the back door and entering the home, where he made off with multiple items.
BLACKHAWK, CA — A burglar broke into a home in the Blackhawk Country Club and made off with multiple valuable items, according to the homeowner and the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office. The suspect remains at-large.
On Sunday, Contra Costa sheriff’s deputies were called to reports of a burglary that occurred the prior night on Deer Field Way in Blackhawk Country Club, according to CCSO spokesperson Jimmy Lee.
The homeowner looked at surveillance footage and reported on Nextdoor that on Saturday night, while they were out, a man approached the home from the golf course, and threw a large rock at the door, shattering it. He took a pillow case off the bed and filled it with numerous items, including a 70-pound safe. He then jumped over a black metal fence into a golf cart. The homeowner suspects the burglar scrambled the WiFi so that the alarm wasn’t triggered.

The burglary is one of the latest to hit the Danville/San Ramon area. On April 18, armed suspects stole tools out of a work truck on Livorna Road in Alamo. In March, an Alamo woman was followed home and robbed at gunpoint in her driveway.
