Brush Fire Near Blackhawk Remains Under Investigation

DANVILLE, CA — A two-alarm grass fire off Johnston Road in the Tassajara area east of Blackhawk in rural Contra Costa County was contained at about five acres, firefighters said.

No injuries were reported in the blaze in the 6300 block of Johnston Road that was first reported at 6:54 p.m. Saturday. The San Ramon Valley and Alameda County fire departments, along with Cal Fire, contained the blaze before it damaged any structures.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
