Danville To Add 12 New Red Curbs
Red curbs will be added at key intersections downtown to improve visibility and comply with California's new Daylighting Law.
DANVILLE, Calif. — A series of new red curb zones will soon be painted across downtown Danville following Town Council approval, officials announced this week.
The newly painted red curbs are designed to improve visibility and enhance safety for both pedestrians and drivers.
Most of the changes stem from the need to clarify parking restrictions related to Assembly Bill 413, also known as the “Daylighting Law,” which requires clearer sightlines near intersections. One separate red curb will also be added at 194 Diablo Road due to traffic concerns.
