Danville Community Fundraising For Woman With ALS

DANVILLE, CA —The community is asked to support Cindy Walsh, a Danville woman who's been diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease.

According to a GoFundMe page set up by a friend, Cindy's care costs $10,000 to $15,000 a month. Her family members have become full-time caretakers, and downsized due to financial concerns.

"Every penny will be used for the support of Cindy and the Walsh Family who gave of themselves so freely and selflessly to their community in decades past," reads the fundraiser, which is hoping to raise $100,000.
