Danville High Schools Make AP School Honor Roll
Both of Danville's high schools, and all four SRVUSD high schools, were honored by the College Board for student success in AP courses.
DANVILLE, CA — All four San Ramon Valley Unified School District high schools made it onto the AP School Honor Roll, which recognizes schools whose Advanced Placement programs are achieving outstanding results. From 2011 to 2021, SRVUSD was the only school district in the world to earn a spot on the AP District Honor Roll every year since the program's inception.
The College Board judges schools based on their performance across three categories:
- College Culture: 40% or more of the graduating cohoe took at least 1 AP Exam during high school.
- College Credit: 25% of more of the graduating cohort scored a 3 or higher on at least 1 AP Exam during high school.
- College Optimization: 2% or more of the graduating cohort took5 or more AP Exams during high school. At least one of those exams were taken in 9th or 10th grade.
In Danville, Monte Vista High School earned a Gold status, while San Ramon Valley High School earned Silver status. In San Ramon, Dougherty Valley High School earned the rare Platinum status, (82% of its graduating cohort in 2023-24 participated in an Ap exam, and 78% scored a 3 or higher), while California High School earned a Gold status.

“Our high schools have continuously set the bar high for academic achievement, and these AP School Honor Roll recognitions reflect our commitment to excellence,” SRVUSD Superintendent CJ Cammack said in a statement.
“I want to acknowledge our students for their diligence and determination as well as our staff and administration at every grade level — from elementary through high school — for laying the framework and preparing students for success in college and career. I am incredibly proud that our high schools have been acknowledged for both their excellence in AP and their efforts to increase access to these opportunities for more students.”
