Danville Hosting Football-Themed Recreation Expo

Visitors will be able to sample spring and summer activities, and participate in activities like field goals and football hula-hooping.

DANVILLE, CA — The Town of Danville will showcase upcoming spring and summer classes and programs at its 15th annual Recreation Expo & Open House on Saturday, Feb. 8. The football-themed event will take place at three different town facilities between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

At the Danville Community Center, Village Theatre, and Danville Senior Center, residents can meet instructors and learn more about upcoming programs, which include swimming lessons, day camps, and classes in art, cooking, fitness, and foreign languages and more.

Visitors will also be able to participate in different activities, like kicking a field goal at the Danville Community Center, creating sports bloopers at the Village Theatre, and a football hula hoop challenge at the Danville Senior Center. Auggie the Acorn will also host an adventure scavenger hunt, and visitors can turn in their completed cards at the senior center for a chance to win priority registration, free special event registration, and more.

Spring activity guides with summer camp information will be mailed to Danville, Alamo, and Diablo residents in late January, and will also be available online here. Registration for spring programs and summer camps begins Feb. 11 for Danville residents, and Feb. 18 for the general public. Update your registration account here.
