Danville Hosts Valentine Stroll Event

From Danville Economic Development: Attend Friday’s Valentine’s Stroll Event to check out photo contest winning entries. Danville residents have plenty of reasons to come downtown this weekend because Love is in the air!

From 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday and all day Saturday, downtown merchants will be holding a ‘Valentine’s Stroll’ for those looking to find the perfect gift for their special someone. During the stroll, visit the 27 participating businesses ready to help in your gift-buying search. (Strolling Map attached)
In each store, be sure to pick up raffle tickets for Danville Gift Cards and other prizes. Be sure to drop your raffle tickets off at the Cottage jewel, 100 W. Prospect Avenue, before February 14, 2017. Drawing will take place on the 14th.

While you’re downtown you can also check out the winners from the Danville Area Chamber of Commerce photography contest, themed, “Why I Love Danville.” The event, co-sponsored by the Town of Danville, invited residents to showcase the many things they love about their community by submitting photographs surrounding several themes (Parks & Recreation, ShopDinePlay, Town Events and Nature & Architecture.)
The winning images are showcased through a set of “Why I Love Danville” postcards, available for purchase at Rakestraw Books, Museum of the San Ramon Valley, Whim House, Cottage Jewel & The Danville Area Chamber of Commerce.

The winners of the “Why I Love Danville” Photo Contest include: Diane Proctor, Leslie Eddy, Jenn DeLuca, Alyson White, Natalie Probert Kurtz, Tom Howard, Vahram Keosian, Amy Anderson, Liwen Cheung, Megan Gery and Marianne Iversen.

Support your local businesses and join over 27 businesses who will be staying open late so you can shop downtown and enjoy a Valentine’s Day Stroll this Friday, February 10 and Saturday, February 11, 2017 in the heart of downtown. All shoppers will have a chance to win a Danville Gift Card.
